On January 24, 2020, the University of La Verne College of Law will hold an Aviation Law Symposium. The symposium’s content is meant to enrich the knowledge of decisions makers with responsibility for public use airports. The sessions will address a variety of related topics, such as land use issues when leasing airport commercial spaces; the impact of environmental regulations on airport use and expansion; best practices for implementation of noise abatement procedures; contracting issues, such as building renovations and new construction; purchasing aviation equipment, such as helicopters for law enforcement; and development issues, such as runway expansion coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration and the future impact on the community. The University of La Verne invites city attorneys, county counsel, private counsel, government stakeholders, and members of public airport management teams to learn about the latest developments and best practices in the field of aviation law. Continuing legal education credits are available to active members of the bar.
