What is Urban Air Mobility (UAM)?

UAM uses three-dimensional transportation to better serve the needs of our communities. This CAMI Resource describes UAM at a high level and provides a framework of five Zones of Operation and five Styles of Operation for which UAM is well suited.

NOTE: NASA Recently started using the term “Advanced Aerial Mobility (AAM)” instead of urban air mobility. The definition that CAMI has been using for “UAM” aligns well with their “AAM”. In the AAM construct, the term UAM may be limited to the City Center or Suburbs to City zones of operation that are described here.
