eVTOL Aircraft: What they are and why they matter

New electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft are enabling aviation to be more closely integrated with our communities. This short paper introduces this new type of aircraft, discusses some of their benefits and challenges, and places them in the context of community operations.
